ISO 26262 & Automotive SPICE®: Testing safety-relevant products correctly!
Wednesday 03/11/20 from 3:00 pm - 3:30 pm
ISO 26262 for Functional Safety requires various tests at system, hardware and software level to verify safety-relevant products and product components. In the respective volumes, the standard requires certain methods and coverages for these tests, depending on the ASIL. Companies need to individually interpret the corresponding tables and implement them in their development processes.
As a process maturity model, Automotive SPICE® expects test strategies to be developed in several engineering processes, from which test cases are to be derived. These test strategies define, among other things, which test methods individual manufacturers have to apply, and which test coverages they need to achieve.
Method Park presents an approach for how to integrate the test requirements from ISO 26262 into Automotive SPICE®-compliant development processes.
