After Wolfgang Leimbach graduated in electrical engineering, he started his professional career in 1977 as a test and development engineer in computer peripheral technology and gained his first experience in what was later known as embedded systems engineering. In 1983, he moved into the EDA industry, where he worked for more than 15 years in various functions at different tool manufacturers. Then he was attracted by model-based software development for embedded systems based on the new notation UML and started I-Logix Deutschland in 2000. In 2008, he joined IBM through the acquisition of Telelogic, where he most recently helped to drive the engineering lifecycle management solutions business in the European automotive market as a member of a global team. In 2019, he joined Willert Software Tools GmbH, which simultaneously merged with Sodius SAS to form the new joint company SodiusWillert. In his role as Business Development Executive, he focuses on the new solutions for Engineering Lifecycle Data Connectors based on OSLC.
